CompassDirectAI privacy policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026.

This policy covers CompassDirectAI Bella and Milo checks, the private desktop connection used by the owner of The Adventures of Bella and Milo. It explains the connection's use of Google and YouTube data. It is separate from the privacy information for shopping on 243 House.

Information accessed and why

With the owner's permission, the connection accesses the selected YouTube channel's identifier and name; video identifiers, titles, language, audience, visibility and processing settings; and caption-track information and caption text. It also receives Google authorisation tokens needed to keep the connection working. These are used to verify the selected channel, check approved publications, compare captions with the owner's prepared captions, and show saved results in the local workspace.

The Google permission is broader than the checking function: it technically allows viewing, editing and deleting YouTube content. The checking adapter uses read requests and restricts checks to the configured Bella and Milo channel. The grant does not itself authorise deletion or changes to other channels.

Storage and sharing

Connection credentials and saved workspace state are encrypted on the owner's Windows computer. Exported verification reports and user-created backups may also contain channel and video information; exported reports are not necessarily encrypted. The owner controls access to the computer and those files.

The connection sends authenticated requests to Google to perform the checks. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. The Google checking credential is not given to the separate publishing provider. Where the owner separately authorises uploads through Upload-Post, that provider receives the approved video and publication information through its own connection and terms.

CompassDirectAI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and control

Saved information is retained locally until the owner removes it. Disconnecting the Google connection removes its current local access and refresh tokens and clears the current list of checked videos. It does not erase separate publication records, historical follow-up records, exported files or backups, and it does not delete YouTube content.

The owner can also revoke the app's access through Google account permissions. Revocation stops future authorised requests but does not automatically remove previously saved local records. For help removing those records or copies, contact c243house@outlook.com.

Security and changes

The connection keeps secret values out of the dashboard and ordinary diagnostic reports. The owner should protect the Windows account and backups. No system can promise uninterrupted access or absolute security. Material changes to these practices will be reflected on this page before they are introduced.
